Discover a creative new way to turn words into art at our Blackout Poetry Workshop! In this hands-on session, teens will transform ordinary book pages into powerful poems and bold visual designs by selecting words and “blacking out” the rest of the text. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that combines poetry, creativity, and visual expression. No poetry experience is needed—just bring your imagination. Get ready to dive into some fun paper piecing at the Patmos Library! Join us on Monday March 23rd from 2pm to 5pm for an English Paper Piecing class! English Paper Piecing is popular for the accuracy and flexibility it gives us in creating. Using pre-cut papers, we will baste on fabrics, then learn to stitch them together by hand stitching. Instructions will be given to create a puzzle ball or bowl made from hexagon shapes - the most common used in English Paper Piecing. The class will be led by Betsy Carlson, owner of the Nine Patch Sewing Co. This event is limited to 15 people and registration is required! ** Please note: You MUST bring your own fabric scissors - all other supplies are provided!

It’s A Leprechaun trap competition! A little luck, a lot of creativity! We’ll provide the starter kit — you bring the magic to build the most clever leprechaun trap you can imagine!
